Lincoln, NE – OCTOBER 1, 2014 – In Spring 2015, the University of Colorado System will add tuition payment plans from Nelnet to increase access and affordability for students, improve convenience for payers, and streamline business office functions.
The University System already simplifies campus commerce for its students with other integrated services from Nelnet, including its popular electronic billing and payment product. Now, students and staff will see the benefits of integration with the service provider’s payment plans – creating synergy for students and making the most of business office efforts.
“The University of Colorado was looking for a way to help students spread the cost of attendance over more months than the two-payment system offered by our student system. We wanted to offer semester and annual plans that were easy for the students to use and easy for us to maintain. We chose Nelnet’s payment plans because we knew we could rely on them to deliver a user-friendly and reliable payment plan solution for all of the campuses,” said Kelly Fox, senior vice chancellor and chief financial officer for the University of Colorado Boulder.
Nelnet’s actively managed payment plans give institutions full control to determine payment due dates and payment types accepted, and are backed by Nelnet’s best-in-class customer service for both students and staff.
“We’re proud to be a comprehensive campus commerce provider for over 700 higher education institutions. Tuition payment plans help higher education become a reality for more students every day – and that’s a mission everyone at Nelnet takes very seriously,” said DeeAnn Wenger, Nelnet Business Solutions president.
