Before coming to Nelnet Campus Commerce, what are some of the highlights of your career?

Before joining Nelnet Campus Commerce, I had the privilege of working with some of the industry’s leading software companies, including Oracle, Xerox, Concur, Salesforce, and Cornerstone on Demand. My career has been primarily focused on Higher Education, but I’ve also gained valuable experience across various other industries.

What do you enjoy about working in the higher education industry?

The Higher Education industry is a community of remarkable people. Over the years, as you interact and build relationships, it becomes a tightly-knit network. I enjoy being part of this community and have had the pleasure of contributing to the success of key institutions across the U.S.

What interested you in the role of Business Development Executive - Southeast?

I’m thrilled to take on the role of Business Development Executive for the Southeast Higher Ed institutions. Nelnet’s innovative solutions and impressive track record with their current customers immediately caught my interest. Their clear vision for success and remarkable growth trajectory are incredibly compelling. Additionally, I’m drawn to the company’s values and collaborative culture. Working with such amazing people in a positive environment is where I thrive.

What are you looking forward to most as you start in your new position?

I’m looking forward to traveling and reconnecting with Southeast Higher Ed accounts, especially those I’ve previously worked with. I’m eager to identify key institutions and demonstrate how Nelnet’s technology and solutions can fulfill their needs.

What techniques help you stay organized and focused?

I stay organized by setting written professional goals for myself each day. This helps me remain focused and productive.

Is there something new you’d like to learn this year, and why?

I would love to learn Pickle Ball. I grew up playing tennis and Pickle Ball looks like a lot of fun!

Share with us a valuable piece of advice that someone has given you.

I grew up with the four keys of advice from my father:

  • Treat others how you want to be treated.
  • There is more than one way of doing something.
  • Focus on what you can control.
  • Stay healthy because if you don’t have your health, you really do not have anything. Enjoy each day.

What’s the most memorable vacation you’ve ever taken?

My most memorable vacation was a family trip to Disney World in Florida when I was 10-years old. The excitement and atmosphere were unforgettable, and the rides, particularly Space Mountain, were so much fun.

Outside of work, do you have any activities or hobbies that you enjoy?

I’ve recently taken up Hot Body Yoga in 90-degree infrared heat. It was challenging at first, but it’s an amazing workout. I also enjoy hiking, biking, skiing, traveling, and discovering new adventures. Recently, I went on a mission trip to Botswana, South Africa, which was a life-changing experience. I love learning about new cultures, meeting new people, and gaining a deeper appreciation for life.
