One associate who embodies this spirit is Laurie Holbrook Doyon, who celebrated an incredible 25 years with Nelnet this fall. Her journey reflects the very best of what we value as a company.

Her path—from the early UNIPAC days to serving as Manager of the Nelnet Campus Commerce Account Executive team—mirrors the journeys of many long-standing Nelnet leaders who’ve guided our institutions and partners through industry shifts, new technologies, and continued growth.

Over the past 25 years, Laurie has embraced a variety of roles—each one showcasing her adaptability, leadership, and passion for helping others succeed. From Regional Vice President to Nelnet Payment Services, to her time as a Customer Relationship Manager and now Manager of the Account Executive team, Laurie has remained steadfast in her commitment to service and relationship building.

Laurie reflects fondly on the connections she has built throughout her career—from catching up with colleagues during annual meetings, participating in volunteer projects like Habitat for Humanity, to collaborating across teams and departments to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

Some of her most meaningful moments came from working closely with implementation teams on large-scale projects, where shared challenges and collective wins created lasting professional relationships and lifelong friendships.

As technology transforms how we connect and serve campuses, Laurie appreciates the efficiencies of modern tools. Still, she holds onto one timeless truth:
